AKAI S612 - Vintage 80's Lo-Fi 2U Rack Sampler
The AKAI S612 was one of Akai's first samplers. It was released in 1985 and it has a super gritty, lo-fi sound which we thought was pretty awesome when we were testing this unit with some samples taken from Sun Ra and also from our Juno-60. This simple and easy to use unit features MIDI, 12-bit sampling from 4 to 32kHz, loop, 8 seconds of sampling time, truncate, overdub, a continuous variable lo-pass filter and an LFO for modulating.
• This S612 has been used.
• This unit shows some wear from use and age. Mostly just some scratches on the top and around the rack ears. Please see photos.
• This S612 has been tested and is fully functional.
• This sale is for the S612 only. Nothing else is included in this sale.
• This unit is 100V. Please ensure you have the correct step-down transformer before powering on this unit. If you are unsure about this please send us a message as we would be happy to help out. We have some for sale for use in Australia. Please see our other listings.
