Kenwood KP-990 Rare 80's Record Vinyl Player Audiophile Home Turntable  - 100V

**With Micro Seiki Headshell and Satin 14 Cartridge and Stylus**
A deceptive looking turntable hiding everything under near-blank looks. The KP-990 was released in mid to late 80's. These rare and highly sort after units were engineered for longevity, stability and excellent sound quality. Hidden under the plinth is a large X shaped die-cast frame which is the center of Kenwoods closed loop frame structure. This is die-cast base supports motor and arm and ensures shelf decoupling via massive rubber feet. The plinth as well as the dustcover rest on  the die-cast frame near the feet with no direct contact to motor, platter or arm. In this way the essential mechanical parts are shielded from vibrations captured by plinth or cover. This unit will auto lift at the end of a record. At the press of a button you can move the tonearm up and down. Both these functions save your records and styluses from any unnecessary wear.

  • This is a used unit however is in great condition.

  • This turntable shows a small amount of wear from use and age. This includes some small nicks and light scratches on the veneer. Overall it is still a very nice turntable. Please see photos.

  • The dust cover on this unit is hinged and in good condition. It has some scratches and scuffs. Please see photos.

  • This unit will ship with a Micro Seiki Headshell and Satin 14 cartridge & stylus. Both have been used but are in great working condition. They are also high quality and sort after pieces.

  • This KP-990 has a button which moves the tonearm up and down. This assembly has been serviced so it does not move erratically. It is super smooth and working as it should.

  • This KP-990 will automatically lift when you record ends. This function is also working beautifully.

  • All other functions have been thoroughly tested. This unit is working and sounding as great as ever.
