The Nihon Hammond Big Jam SE-3 Compressor, introduced in the late 1970s, is a vintage compression pedal designed to enhance the sustain and consistency of your guitar's tone. It features straightforward controls, typically including knobs for adjusting the compression level and output volume, allowing guitarists to fine-tune their sound with ease. The SE-3 is part of the Big Jam series produced by Nihon Hammond Ltd., a Japanese company that collaborated with Firstman for manufacturing and supplied these pedals to the U.S. market through Multivox. Despite its relatively short production run, the SE-3 has garnered appreciation for its warm, analogue compression characteristics.
Condition:
- This is a used unit.
- This pedal shows some small, general signs of use and age like scratches, nicks and marks. However, overall it is still a very nice piece for a 44-45 year old guitar pedal. Please see all photos for further details.
- This unit is 100% functional. All controls work as they should. This pedal sounds great!
- This unit can power off a 9V battery or 9V negative centre power supply on its own. A power supply will be included for Australian & New Zealand buyers only.
