Wonder became a musical advisor to Kurzweil Music Systems, and early K250 prototypes were built for him in 1983. Officially unveiled at the 1984 Summer NAMM show, the K250 became one of the landmark digital instruments of the decade, combining sampled acoustic sounds, synthesis, sequencing, and a fully weighted keyboard.
