Akai EWI3030m Digital PCM Sound Module 2U Rack Mount - 100V
The Akai EWI3030m is a digital sound module designed for use with Akai’s EWI wind controller system. Released in 1994 and made in Japan, it uses two digital sound sources with 75 PCM waveforms and provides 128 user-programmable sounds.
Sounds can be shaped using its digital filter, envelope, LFO, glide and vibrato controls, with built-in reverb and stereo outputs. It also features an external audio input and MIDI connectivity, allowing it to be incorporated into a wider MIDI setup.
This sale is for the EWI3030m rack sound module only. No EWI wind controller or proprietary controller cable is included.
Condition:
- This is a used unit.
- Physically this unit is in good condition. It shows some general wear from use and age mostly a bit of rack rash as well as some scratches, marks and nicks. Nothing major at all. Overall it is a nice rack! Please see photos.
- This unit has been serviced. It also had a new memory battery installed. As a MIDI module this unit has no faults to note.
- We do not have the wind pipe or cable to test those functions. These have not been tested.
- Please be aware, this unit is 100V. This means you MUST connect it to the correct step-down transformer before powering it on.
