Alesis VI61 61-Key USB MIDI Keyboard Controller
Introduced in 2014, the Alesis VI61 is an advanced USB and MIDI keyboard controller designed for software instruments, music production and external MIDI equipment.
It features 61 velocity-sensitive semi-weighted keys with aftertouch, plus pitch-bend and modulation wheels and octave controls. Its 16 RGB-backlit pads respond to velocity and pressure, making them suitable for playing drums, triggering samples and controlling other MIDI functions.
Additional controls include 16 assignable knobs, 48 assignable illuminated buttons and six transport controls. Assignments can be customised using the Alesis VI Editor software.
Connections include USB, a five-pin MIDI output and a sustain-pedal input.
The VI61 is a controller and does not contain built-in sounds or speakers. It requires a computer with suitable music software or an external MIDI sound module to produce audio.
