The Boss TU-12 is a classic needle-style chromatic tuner introduced by Boss in the early 1980s and produced for over two decades, making it one of the most widely used professional tuners of its era. Housed in a compact rectangular enclosure, the TU-12 features a large analog needle meter for visual pitch indication and LED indicators for fine-tuning accuracy. It provides chromatic tuning across a wide frequency range (C1–B6) and includes separate inputs for guitar and bass, with a built-in microphone for acoustic instrument tuning.
