Roland R-8 Human Rhythm Composer Vintage 80s Drum Machine W/ PSU!
The Roland R-8 is a digital drum machine released by Roland in 1989, built around 16-bit PCM drum samples and performance-focused programming. It features velocity-sensitive pads, extensive real-time control, and Roland’s “Human Feel” functions, which allow timing, dynamics, and feel to be varied to create more natural, non-quantised rhythms. The R-8 supports expandable ROM sound cards, full MIDI implementation, and was designed for both studio sequencing and live performance, becoming a well-known late-1980s drum machine for realistic and expressive rhythm programming.
