ESP 2008 AP-SL Sado Custom Shop Japan Electric Bass Guitar
For sale we have a 2008 AP-SL by ESP. This beauty was made in Japan at the Sado Custom Shop! The serial number is S0810109. The AP-SL bolt on features a white ash body, maple neck and Rosewood fretboard with 21 frets. It has Seymour Duncan SMB-4D humbackers and is a nice see though black/brown colour. This unit has black knob caps, rather than the more common chrome.
Condition:
- This is a used unit.
- Physically this unit is in very good condition for its age. It shows some wear from use and age. This includes some nicks, light scuffs and scratches, some missing lacquer on the side of the neck, some light surface oxidisation. Nothing major at all. There is nothing which detracts from the use or sound of this awesome Bass.
- This guitar is a sort of dark see through black/brown colour depending on the angle you look at it.
- This guitar has been tested. It is fully functional, the intonation has been checked. The frets are worn, medium/low. They have very little pitting. The action is low-medium with more relief at the 12th fret. It plays well and sounds great!
- This ESP has had a minor service. This included:
- Cleaning the neck, buffed and polished frets. Oiled the neck.
- String height / action adjustment.
- Body has been cleaned and metal hardware has been polished.
- Graphite has been added to nut.
- Brand new Ernie Ball, Hybrid Slinky Bass 45-105 bass stings have have been installed.
- For safety during shipping, tension will be taken off the neck. The guitar will need to be tuned on arrival.
- Please note that although we have tested the intonation and set up the guitar here, due to the nature of guitars as well as the shipping and handling process there is a chance you will need to set up the guitar again. The set up may need to be modified to suit your personal preferences.
- Guitars picked up from our West Gosford store will set up ready to play!
