The Gibson Les Paul Studio from 2000 is a well-regarded model known for its classic Les Paul tone. It was made in the USA. This guitar features a mahogany body with a maple top, a rosewood fingerboard, and a Slim Taper neck profile, which is comfortable for most players. The guitar is equipped with 490R and 498T humbucking pickups, offering a versatile range of tones suitable for various music styles.
Condition:
- This is a used guitar.
- Physically this unit is in good condition. It shows some general wear from use and age like some marks, nicks, a couple of dents and lots of light scratches in the finish. The black finish on the guitar looks like it has cracks though it, but not all the way though (please see all photos for further details and close ups). The most notable wear would be that someone has put stickers on it in the past, and this has damaged the nitro finish on the guitar. The frets are in good condition and still have plenty of life left.
- This guitar has been tested and set up. It is fully functional, the intonation has been checked. The frets show a little pitting, however have plenty of lift left.
- This Gibson has had a minor service. This included:
- Cleaning the neck, buffed and polished frets.
- Pickup height adjusted.
- Replaced one potentiometer (Neck Pickup - Tone). It was replaced with a brand new DiMarzio 500K long shaft potentiometer.. (The original Gibson pot is in the guitar case, however it is completely non functional).
- String height adjusted.
- Switches and pots were cleaned.
- Brand new Elixir strings have been installed.
- For safety during shipping, tension will be taken off the neck. The guitar will need to be tuned on arrival.
- Please note that although we have tested the intonation and set up the guitar here, due to the nature of guitars as well as the shipping and handling process there is a chance you will need to set up the guitar again. The set up may need to be modified to suit your personal preferences.
- This guitar will ship with a padded gig bag.
- Guitars picked up from our West Gosford store will set up ready to play!
