Fernandes Early-Mid 90's FRB-55 Revolver Gloss Black Electric Bass Guitar
This sale is for a 90's FRB-55 Revolver Bass guitar. This model features a Basswood body, Maple neck and Rosewood fretboard. This one is in a nice gloss black, which looks great with the black Fernandes pickups, bridge and Gotoh tuners. It was a popular design, due to compact body size and sharp design, making it desirable for a wide variety of players. It seems Fernandes phased out serial numbers, so it is hard to put an exact date on the model. We estimate this FRB-55 to have been released between 1991 and 1994.
Condition:
- This is a used unit.
- Physically this unit is in very good condition for its age. It shows some small nicks, dents, light scratches and scuffs. There are some larger chips from the black gloss around the input jack. Overall it is still a very nice piece. Please see photos.
- This guitar has been tested. It is fully functional, the intonation has been checked. The frets are only lightly worn, they are high to medium with very little pitting. The action is low-medium.
- This FRB has had a minor service. This included:
- Cleaning the neck, buffed and polished frets. Oiled the neck.
- String height / action adjustment.
- Body has been cleaned and metal hardware has been polished.
- Graphite has been added to nut.
- Brand new D'Addario Nickle Wound Medium Gauge strings have been installed.
- For safety during shipping, tension will be taken off the neck. The guitar will need to be tuned on arrival.
- Please note that although we have tested the intonation and set up the guitar here, due to the nature of guitars as well as the shipping and handling process there is a chance you will need to set up the guitar again. The set up may need to be modified to suit your personal preferences.
- Guitars picked up from our West Gosford store will set up ready to play!
