Teac Model 3 Vintage 8 Channel Analogue Mixer - 100V
The TEAC Model 3 is a vintage 8-channel analog mixer from the late 1970s, designed for home studios and small recording setups. It features eight mic/line inputs. Channels 1–6 feature XLR connectors and channels 7–8 with 1/4" jacks and an RIAA phono preamp setting, each equipped with a 2-band semi-parametric EQ offering switchable frequency points. The mixer includes four subgroups, direct (pre-fade) and cue (post-fade) outputs per channel, and a submix input on each channel, providing advanced routing capabilities. Its internal components, such as Tamura transformer balanced Mic inputs on 6 channels, and inductors EQ on all channels contribute to its warm, analogue sound character. Users have noted that the Model 3 imparts a flattering midrange and a certain "record-like" quality to recordings, making it a valuable tool for those seeking a classic analogue sound in a compact format.
