Kurzweil K2000R Variable Architecture Synthesiser & Sampler - 3U Rack - 240V

Kurzweil Music Systems was founded by Raymond Kurzweil and Stevie Wonder. The K2000R is a digital synthesiser and sampler (This unit has been expanded) which was sold during the 90's and early 2000's. It is an awesome sounding machine. It uses Variable Architecture Synthesis Technology which allows the user to take any multi-sample, noise or waveform and process it using just about any synthesis technique. The source of these multi-samples are from the 8MB of ROM which hold tons of authentic and superb quality samples. The internal processing is 32-bit with 18-bit DACs. The K2000 uses 31 sound-shaping algorithms to provide a variety of resonant filters, EQs, continuous panning, amplitude modulation, crossfade, distortion, digital wrap, waveshaper, pulse width modulation, high frequency enhancement, low frequency oscillators, hard sync oscillators and mixing oscillators, all with real-time MIDI control. The K2000 has been used by many very well known artists such as Nine Inch Nails, Stevie Wonder, Pink Floyd, Jean Michel Jarre, LTJ Bukem, Massive Attack and more.

This unit is the K2000R, with the sampling expansion board and digital I/O expansion board installed.
