Roland SH-3A 70's Vintage Analogue Monophonic Synthesiser - 100V
The Roland SH-3A was released in 1974/1975. It is a little piece of history, as it was Rolands first synthesiser that was not preset based. It is also unique as is is capable of both subtractive and additive synthesis. This SH-3A also contains a transistor ladder filter, very similar to the Moog one at the time. This makes this synth capable of generating some pretty Moog-like sounds.
Condition:
- This is a used unit.
- Physically this unit is in great condition for its age! It shows some slight surface oxidisation above the keybed, however, nothing too major. There are general small nicks, light marks and scratches. It still has the lid and original music stand! Overall it is in very nice condition for a synth built in the mid 70's!
- All switches, sliders and controls function as they should.
- This unit has had a major service. This included diagnosing and repairing any faults, replacing all faulty parts, cleaning pots and switches, cleaning the keybed contacts and calibrating the synthesiser. It is fully functional and has no faults to note.
- Please be aware this unit is 100V. This means it MUST be used with a step-down transformer, not a travel adaptor. If you are unsure about this please let us know. We have some great, compatible step-downs for sale HERE.
They are designed in Australia for use in Australia and can be run 24/7. - If you purchase from outside Australia you may need a step-down transformer to use this unit. Please contact us if you need any help sourcing the correct product.
