The Audio-Technica AT-650 Passive Step-Up Transformer is a high-quality Japanese-made SUT designed to match low-output moving-coil cartridges to standard MM phono stages. It features selectable impedance settings for 3 Ω, 20 Ω, and 40 Ω cartridges plus a bypass mode, offering smooth, transparent gain with minimal noise. With a wide 10 Hz–80 kHz frequency response and ultra-low distortion, it’s ideal for extracting maximum detail from MC cartridges. Built with robust dual shielding in a compact, heavy chassis, this unit delivers the classic Audio-Technica sound quality prized by audiophiles.

  • This unit is in good condition. It shows a small amount of wear from use and age. This includes some small nicks, scuffs and light scratches. Please see all photos.

  • This is a passive step-up transformer - it does not require power / batteries to work. This unit can be used anywhere in the world.

  • This sale is for the AT-650 only. Nothing else is included in this sale.
