SAEC WE-407/23 Double Knife Edge Static Balanced Vintage HI-FI Tonearm

The SAEC WE-407/23 is a high-precision 9-inch dynamic-balance tonearm from Japan, produced in the late 1970s to early 1980s by SAEC (Specialty Audio Equipment Company)—a brand celebrated for its engineering excellence and dual-pivot bearing designs. It features SAEC’s patented double-knife edge bearing system, which uses two precisely aligned pivots to minimise friction and lateral play, resulting in exceptionally stable tracking and channel balance.


Condition:

  • This is a used unit. 

  • Physically this unit is in very good condition for its age. It shows some light wear from use and age. This includes some light scuffs and slight signs of oxidisation. Nothing major at all. There is nothing which detracts from the use or sound of this beautiful tonearm.

  • This sale includes a Micro Seiki wiring loom. This also shows some general signs of age, but nothing major. Please see photos. 

  • This tone arm has been tested and is working very well!  

  • The SAEC WE-407/23 is definitely for people who are experienced with turntables and setting up tone arms. This is because this unit is delicate and require fine precision to set up. We will not be able to remotely help with set up or installation. So please ensure you are confident before purchase or have a technician who can install it for you.  (If you are able to visit our store in West Gosford, NSW we could help with set up) 

  • This sale is for the tonearm and wiring loom pictured. Nothing else, nor any other parts are included in this sale.
