Access Virus B Desktop Virtual Analogue Synthesiser Module 24-Voice
Released in 1999 and made in Germany, the Access Virus B is a desktop virtual-analogue synthesiser module offering 24-voice polyphony and 16-part multitimbral operation.
Its synthesis engine provides three oscillators and a sub-oscillator per voice, conventional analogue-style waveforms, 64 spectral waveforms, oscillator sync, frequency modulation and ring modulation. Two resonant multimode filters can be routed in series, parallel or split configurations, supported by three LFOs, two envelopes and an extensive modulation matrix.
The Virus B contains 256 rewritable user sounds, 768 factory sounds and 128 Multi programs. Its effects include distortion and saturation, chorus, flanging, phasing, delay, reverb and a programmable 32-band vocoder. Sixteen independent arpeggiators are available when working multitimbrally.
A powerful late-1990s virtual-analogue module with deep hands-on programming, flexible multitimbral operation and the unmistakably polished, aggressive sound associated with the classic Virus series.
