The Ampeg SVT-IIP is a rackmount tube bass preamplifier produced between 1991 and 1995, designed to encapsulate the renowned Ampeg SVT tone in a preamp format. It features a single-channel design with two inputs—Normal and Bright—to accommodate various bass signals. The front panel offers controls for Volume, Bass, Midrange (with a five-position frequency selector), Treble, and a six-band graphic equaliser with a level slider, providing extensive tonal shaping capabilities. Additional features include Ultra Low and Ultra High switches for enhanced frequency response, a balanced line-out switch, and a footswitch jack for remote control of the graphic EQ. Internally, the SVT-IIP is equipped with three 12AX7 tubes, delivering the warm, dynamic response characteristic of Ampeg's tube amplifiers. Its 1U rackmount design makes it a practical choice for bassists seeking classic Ampeg tone in a portable format.

Condition:

  • This is a used unit. 
  • Physically this unit is in great condition. It shows a small amount of wear from use and age like some rack rash, nicks, scratches and scuffs. There is nothing major and overall it is still a nice pre-amp. Please see all photos for further details.

  • All switches and potentiometers function as they should. This unit is 100% functional and has not faults to note.

    This unit has been set to 230V for use in Australia, New Zealand and some other countries around the world.
