Audio-Technica AT33PTG MC Phono Cartridge - 35th Anniversary Edition
Released in 1996 as an Audio-Technica 35th-anniversary model, the AT33PTG is a Japanese-made, low-output moving-coil phono cartridge.
It features a MicroLinear diamond stylus mounted on a solid boron cantilever. The line-contact stylus profile was designed to provide extended high-frequency response, reduced inner-groove distortion and a considerably longer working life than conventional elliptical designs.
The AT33PTG uses Audio-Technica’s dual moving-coil arrangement, with separate cylindrical coils for the left and right channels.
As a low-output MC cartridge, it requires a compatible moving-coil phono input, head amplifier or step-up transformer.
A desirable original AT33-series cartridge combining a fine MicroLinear stylus, solid-boron cantilever and Audio-Technica’s well-regarded dual moving-coil design.
