BOSS AC-3 Acoustic Simulator Guitar Effects Pedal - 2008 - MIT
The Boss AC-3 Acoustic Simulator is a compact guitar effects pedal designed to emulate the tone and resonance of an acoustic guitar from an electric instrument. Introduced in the mid-2000s and manufactured in Taiwan (MIT), it’s based on Roland’s COSM (Composite Object Sound Modeling) technology — the same digital modeling system used in the VG and GT processors. The pedal offers four acoustic body types: Standard, Jumbo, Enhanced, and Piezo, each with distinct EQ and resonance characteristics. It features four control knobs; Level, Body, Top, and Mode to shape tone and dynamics.
