Released around 1990 and made in Japan, the Boss DR-550 Dr. Rhythm is a compact digital drum machine and rhythm composer.
It provides 48 16-bit PCM drum and percussion sounds with 12-note polyphony and 12 playing pads. Individual sounds can be adjusted using parameters including level, decay, pan, tone colour and accent response.
The onboard sequencer offers real-time and step recording, 64 preset patterns, storage for 64 user-created patterns and eight songs of up to 160 measures each. Song Chain allows as many as 1,280 measures to be played consecutively.

- The cosmetic condition of this unit is good. It shows a small amount of wear from use and age like some marks, nicks and scratches. Nothing major. Please see all photos. Overall it is a nice little unit.
