BOSS FA-1 FET Amplifier 1988 Guitar Pedal Pre Amp Made in Japan

The Boss FA-1 FET Amplifier, introduced in 1984 as part of Boss's "Pocket Series," is a compact, always-on preamp that became highly sought after, especially after its use by The Edge from U2. Designed to clip onto a belt and powered by a 9-volt battery, the FA-1 features a FET input buffer, an op-amp gain stage, and an active Baxandall EQ, which provides excellent tonal shaping capabilities. Despite its unassuming design and initial low profile, its ability to enhance and shape guitar tones has made it a hidden gem in the world of guitar preamps
