Casio SK-1 Vintage Sampling Keyboard
The Casio Sk-1 was manufactured in 1985 and quickly became popular because of its price. These days the SK-1 is a great candidate for circuit-bending and is a fun little portable machine! It has been used by artists like  Fatboy Slim, Beck, Aphex Twin, Autechre, Portishead, Bloodhound Gang, Nine Inch Nails, Incubus and Blur.

  • This unit shows a small amount of wear like some scratches and scuffs. There is nothing major at all. Overall it is a nice piece. Please see photos.

  • This unit has been tested and is working as it should.

  • This unit will ship in its original box. Box is in fair - good condition. 

  • The SK-1 powers on with a 7.5V power supply or 5 x AA batteries. (Neither are included in the sale)

  • This sale is for the SK-1 and orignal box only. Nothing else is included in this sale. 

  • Polyphony - 4 voices

  • Oscillators - additive synth section: 5 PCM tones: piano, brass ensemble, trumpet, synth drums, human voice; 3 synth tones: flute, pipe organ, jazz organ

  • Sampler - Holds 1 Sample: 8-bit PCM, 9.38kHz, approx. 1.4 seconds, loop/ envelope select functions

  • VCA - None; 13 Envelope shapes

  • Drums - 11 drum patterns: disco, rock, pops, march, samba, bossa nova, rhumba, 4 beat, swing, slow rock, waltz

  • Sequencer - 100 steps of polyphonic programming or 99 step chord sequence with and 198 steps each of two solo voices.

  • Keyboard - 32 mini-keys
