The realism of the Holy Grail piano is the result of painstaking attention to detail in sampling each unique sonic component of the piano, and then “rebuilding” the overall sound. This process, known as Virtual Model Sampling, is a new and exciting proprietary process that extrapolates and then recreates the unique individual sonic “components” of any instrument through mechanical and digital means.

In the case of The Holy Grail expansion ROM, Virtual Model Sampling was used to “take apart” the piano, and each component, from key-on and off hammer action to sympathetic resonant sustain and un-dampened high key register artifacts, was captured in stereo at various velocities. These individual component stereo samples were then masterfully “reassembled” to constitute a sampled acoustic piano like no other …. The Holy Grail Piano for your Proteus-platform module.

  • This card has been tested in a compatible E-MU and is working as it should.

  • This card is compatible with many different E-MU's! These include:

    MP-7, PX-7, XL-7 & Proteus 2500 Command Stations

    19" RackMount Synth modules:

  • Please ensure you item is compatible before purchase.

  • This sale is for the 1 x ROM card only. Nothing else is included in this sale.

  • If you are unsure about installing this item I would suggest getting a tech or someone knowledgable to install it for you. It is pretty simple, just like installing a RAM card into an old computer, but you don't want to force it in the wrong way. It should not take more than 10-20 min as it is plug and play!
