KORG Polysix Vintage Polyphonic Analogue Synthesiser - 100V
The Polysix has a very warm analogue sound. It has many great features like an advanced arpeggiator that can memorise and sequence chords across the keyboard and all the voices can be played in unison for a HUGE 6-oscillator lead sound! The Polysix also features a Bucket Brigade analogue delay for brilliant, full strings! It has been used by loads of notable and popular artists such as RJD2, Disclosure, Tycho, Trentemoller, Lapalux, Keith Emerson and more!
The Korg Polysix was introduced in 1981. It combines one analogue oscillator per voice with a sub-oscillator, resonant low-pass filter, envelope modulation and built-in chorus, phaser and ensemble effects, giving it the rich pads, strings, brass and warm analogue textures for which it is known. It also includes 32 patch memories, arpeggiator, chord memory and unison modes.
A highly desirable vintage Korg polysynth with a straightforward hands-on layout and distinctive early-1980s analogue character.
Condition:
- This is a used unit.
- This Polysix has just come from a service. This included, but is not limited to:
- Thorough test, diagnostics and repair. All faulty components were replaced.
- All faulty tact switches were replaced.
- A new memory battery has been installed
- This vintage beauty is sounding great and a pleasure to play. There are no faults to note!
- This Polysix is in good condition. It shows a small amount of wear on the faceplate, this includes some small nicks and marks. The MDF side panels show some small nicks and chips. To our surprise this beauty did not have any signs of the notorious battery leak the polysix are known for! There are some marks on the back. The "D" led is a bit brighter than the others as it was replaced. Nothing major at all. Overall it is still a very nice piece for a 43 year old synthesiser!
- Please be aware this unit is 100V. This means it MUST be used with a step-down transformer, not a travel adaptor. If you are unsure about this please let us know. We have some great, compatible step-downs for sale HERE. They are designed in Australia for use in Australia and can be run 24/7.
