Ortofon SL-15E MkII Vintage Moving Coil Elliptical Phono Cartridge AT Headshell

The Ortofon SL-15E MkII is a vintage Danish low-output moving-coil phono cartridge fitted with an elliptical diamond stylus.

Its lightweight body weighs approximately 7g and was designed for use with moderate- to low-mass tonearms.

The elliptical stylus was designed to provide greater groove-wall contact and improved high-frequency detail compared with the standard spherical SL-15 version. As a very low-output moving-coil cartridge, it requires a suitable MC phono stage or matching step-up transformer.

Condition:
  • This cartridge and stylus have been used.

  • This is a low output moving coil cartridge therefore you will need additional gain if you use a standard MM phono pre-amplifier.

  • This set up has been tested. It is working well and sounds great!

  • This set up shows some small, general signs of wear, mainly on the headshell. Nothing major. Please ensure to see all photos.
  • Please note, the white stand is not included in the sale. It is for demonstration / photography purposes only.
