Super Echo Z MEC-33000 Mark Shoji Amateur HAM Radio Echo Compressor Call Voice
The MARK Super Echo Z MEC-33000 is a vintage Japanese-market microphone and speech-effects processor designed for CB and amateur-radio installations.
It connects between a radio microphone and compatible transceiver, providing adjustable echo and repeat effects, speech compression, voice changing and front-call and back-call sound effects. Its numerous controls allow the echo character, voice effect, microphone level, monitor level and output to be adjusted.
The MEC-33000 uses multi-pin radio microphone connections. Radio microphone wiring was not universally standard, so its pin configuration, connecting cable and compatibility must be confirmed before connecting it to a transceiver.
With its extensive controls and range of adjustments, the MEC-33000 is best suited to users familiar with vintage radio equipment. Its unusually flexible design offers plenty to explore for anyone comfortable setting up specialised speech and echo processors.
Condition:
- This is a used unit.
- Physically this unit is in great condition. It shows some general wear from use and age like some marks, nicks and scratches. Nothing major. Please see all photos.
- This unit has been tested. All the pots and switches work, it can receive signal in and out. It was not tested with a microphone.
- The audio in/out is on 8 pin DIN plugs. An enthusiast / experienced operator is needed to decode. As this is fitted with eight-pin round microphone connections rather than the more commonly encountered four-pin NASA configuration. The precise pinout and compatible radio model are unknown and should be verified before connection.
- Powers on 12V+ to Red.
