Teac "Tascam Series" 33-8 / 38 80's Vintage Analogue Reel To Reel Tape Recorder - 100V
The Teac Tascam Series 33-8 recorder/reproducer was released in the mid 80's. It is a 1/2 inch, 8-track, 8 channel, reel to reel tape deck designed for serious entry level to professional type recording set-ups.It features variable pitch control, edit switch, cue lever and a single memory return to zero auto-locate function.
The Teac Tascam Series 33-8 is the Japanese domestic model of the very well known Tascam 38.
Condition:
• This is a used item.
• This unit is in very good condition for its age. It only shows a small amount of wear from use and age. This includes some small nicks, scratches and marks. There is a tiny bit of oxidisation on the front panel. Nothing major at all. Please see all photos for further details.
• This unit has had a major service. This included but is not limited to:
- Replaced all belts with brand new ones.
- Replaced pinch roller rubber with brand new replacement.
- Clean of the heads and tape path.
- Tape and head alignment.
- Check and adjust playback levels.
- Brakes were checked.
- Stripped, serviced and lubricated whole mechanism.
- All pots and switches have been cleaned.
- A deep clean inside and out.
- Electronic modules where inspected, all faulty components were replaced.
- Demagnetisation of the heads.

• This unit has been thoroughly tested after its service and we can confirm it is 100% functional.
• Please be aware this unit is 100V and draws 100W. This means it MUST be used with a step-down transformer. The step-down Transformer should supply 110W or more. A very high quality, 300W isolated step-down transformer will be included in this sale for Australian buyers only.
• If you purchase from overseas, you may also need a step-down to run this reel to reel tape machine. Please get in touch if you need help sourcing the correct item.
• This beauty ships in its original box.
