Teenage Engineering OP-Z Portable 16-Track Synth Sampler Sequencer Groovebox Released in 2018, the Teenage Engineering OP-Z is a highly portable 16-track multimedia synthesiser, sampler and sequencer. Its eight audio tracks are divided into four drum tracks and four melodic synthesiser tracks, while eight additional control tracks handle effects, tape-style processing, master settings, performance functions, lighting, motion and arpeggiation. Each track can use its own length, timing and MIDI channel, with Step Components providing probability, repeats, parameter changes and other sequencing variations. The OP-Z includes sample-based and synthesis-based sound engines, two shared effects buses, punch-in performance effects and an integrated microphone. It can sample through the microphone, a compatible headset, USB audio or the optional Line Module. It can operate independently using its LED interface or connect wirelessly to the OP-Z companion app for additional visual control. The multimedia sequencer can also control synchronised images, 3D graphics and DMX lighting. A remarkably compact production tool that combines synthesis, sampling, detailed sequencing and live performance features with control over MIDI equipment, visuals and lighting. Condition:
