The Universal Audio / Teletronix LA-2A Classic Leveling Amplifier is a modern hardware reissue of the classic tube optical compressor/limiter. It uses a T4 electro-optical gain reduction element with a tube amplifier stage and has the classic LA-2A control layout: Peak Reduction, Gain, and a Compress / Limit switch. Universal Audio’s manual describes the LA-2A as a tube-based compressor with hand-wired components and electro-luminescent optical gain reduction.

Condition:

  • This unit has been lightly used. It has only had one previous owner.

  • This unit has been thoroughly tested. Everything is working as it should. There are no faults to note.

  • The cosmetic condition of this unit is great. It shows some minor signs of wear like some small marks and nicks. There is a little rack rash. Nothing major at all. Please see photos.

  • This unit is a 240V delivered model. It powers on with an IEC cable. This cable will be included for Australian and New Zealand buyers only.

  • International buyers will need to use a step-up transformer to use this unit. Please ask if you are unsure so we can help you source the correct item.

  • This sale is for the unit and IEC for Australian & New Zealand buyers only. Nothing else is included in the sale.
