Yamaha SK-20 Vintage Analogue String Synth Organ 61-Key Keyboard - 100V
Released in 1980 and made in Japan, the Yamaha SK-20 Symphonic Ensemble is a 61-key analogue keyboard combining organ, string-machine and polyphonic synthesiser sections.
The organ section provides six harmonic drawbars, three preset voices, percussion, brilliance, vibrato, sustain and rotary-style tremolo. Its string section offers 8-foot and 16-foot registers, while the seven-voice poly-synth section includes pitch selection, resonant low-pass filtering, envelope control, slow attack and portamento.
All three sections can be layered and balanced independently. The keyboard can also be divided using its split modes, providing seven-note polyphony on each side of the split. Built-in effects include adjustable vibrato, tremolo and Yamaha’s Ensemble chorus effect.
Connections include mixed, organ and poly-synth outputs, headphones, sustain-foot-switch and volume-pedal inputs, plus an 11-pin connection for a compatible external rotary tone cabinet.
A beautifully characterful vintage ensemble keyboard that combines drawbar organ, lush analogue strings and a playable resonant poly-synth in one hands-on instrument.
